The Vinhos Verdes Region is an active member of the Global Network of Great Wine
Capitals, which also embraces Douro, Melbourne, Bordeaux, San Francisco - Napa Valley,
Cape Town, Bilbao-Rioja, Florence and Mendoza. The main goal of this network is to
encourage international winery tourism, as well as economic, academic and cultural
exchanges between these famous capitals of wine

provides information on grape growing in each of these great wine cities, highlights many travel
and tourism opportunities, details various institutions for training and education in winemaking,
and facilitates the growing of business networks and relationships in the viticulture industry
through its own business club.
