The main objective of the Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes Marketing Department is to develop the publication, promotion and marketing of the "Vinho Verde" product and its Organisation.

Marketing activities are directed at enhancing Vinho Verde's reputation as a quality wine, promoting the wine, its Denomination of Origin and creating an image of prestige and credibility.

Thus, the Department is solely responsible for organising participation in a wide range of events such as:

  1. Participation in:
    1. Domestic Trade Fairs, wine fairs, gastronomic events, etc., directed at promoting the consumption of "Vinho Verde" wine
    2. International Fairs with a view to promoting this unique wine in potential markets, before consumers and even to other wine producers
  1. Organisation of:
    1. Visits of specialised groups, namely members of national and international media, among others, to the Vinho Verde Wine's Region
    2. Specific Wine Tastings and "Wine Dinners"
    3. Tasting Courses
    4. Workshops on "Wine Marketing", as well as publishing and issuing
    5. Press-releases, brochures and articles
